Spec “About Us” Page for Kensington Cat and Dog Home
Created during my training with Comprehensive Copywriting Academy (CCA)
Spec Project:
Bilingual ‘About Us’ Page for Kensington Cat and Dog Home.
Description:
This project was designed to relaunch the website for the non-profit organization Kensington Cat and Dog Home, whose mission is to rescue abandoned animals, heal them, and rehome them.
The project’s goal was to increase the number of people who regularly make monthly donations, targeting English-speaking pet lovers over 50 years old, who may be business owners or retired.
Considering the goal of the organization, I chose to craft a Spanish version to reach the Hispanic audience and expand opportunities to grow monthly donors more efficiently.
Strategic Approach:
I researched the English-speaking target audience to craft the English version based on key benefits for donors supporting this cause.
For the Spanish version, I modified the creative brief to include the Millennial generation, more likely to be tech-savvy and financially stable to be loyal donors.
With that slight difference in mind, I crafted the Spanish version using words chosen to connect with both Millennials and Gen X Hispanic audiences.
While both versions maintain the empathetic, supportive, and caring tone as detailed in the creative brief, they were individually crafted with research focused on the main benefits for each audience.
